چکیده

The fault exposure ratio K represents the average detectability of faults in a software. Knowing the value of K for a software system allows the use of the exponential model, and probably also the logarithmic model, even before software testing phase begins. It can also be used to enhance the software reliability growth models (SRGM) at the early stage of testing when the software failure data can only provides limited accuracy. This paper presents a model which relates the fault exposure ratio K to the initial defect density D0. Empirical analysis indicates that this model can describe K fairly well. This research was partly supported by a SDIO/IST funded project monitored by ONR Contact person and presenting author

A Robust Adaptive Observer-Based Time Varying Fault Estimation

This paper presents a new observer design methodology for a time varying actuator fault estimation. A new linear matrix inequality (LMI) design algorithm is developed to tackle the limitations (e.g. equality constraint and robustness problems) of the well known so called fast adaptive fault estimation observer (FAFE). The FAFE is capable of estimating a wide range of time-varying actuator fault...

Fault exposure ratio estimation and applications

One of the most important parameters that control reliability growth is the fault exposure ratio (FER) identi ed by Musa et al. It represents the average detectability of the faults in software. Other parameters that control reliability growth are software size and execution speed of the processor which are both easily evaluated. The fault exposure ratio thus presents a key challenge in our que...

A Fault Diagnosis Method for Automaton based on Morphological Component Analysis and Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition

In the fault diagnosis of automaton, the vibration signal presents non-stationary and non-periodic, which make it difficult to extract the fault features. To solve this problem, an automaton fault diagnosis method based on morphological component analysis (MCA) and ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) was proposed. Based on the advantages of the morphological component analysis method i...

The Movement Potential Evaluation of the Active Faults Golbaf and Shahdad In Kerman Province (South east of IRAN)

Introduction: Seismicity is closely related to active Quaternary faults. This attracts many researchers to investigate the quantitative relationships between them. As a new parameter, FMP is defined to quantify earthquake risk.Iran is one of the most active areas of the world in terms of tectonic activities in the Alps-Himalayan belt. One of the characteristics of this belt includes the presence...
